<description>Environmentally friendly sports and performance vehicles take center stage at this year's North American International Auto Show, as automakers prove that you don't have to drive a gas guzzler to step on the pedal. While the latest Lamborghinis, Maseratis and Ferraris can all take you close to 200 miles per hour, other manufacturers are figuring out ways to make high horsepower a little more responsible. Two examples include: - The Corvette ZR-1, which is built entirely of lightweight material, aluminum, magnesium, and carbon fiber. It has one of the best fuel economies in its class. - The Cadillac CTS V is 550 Horsepower and 550 pound feet of torque. Produced for General Motors</description>

<title>U.S. Automakers Closing the Gap with Overseas Competitors</title>
      <link>http://www.metacafe.com/watch/2990848/u_s_automakers_closing_the_gap_with_overseas_competitors/</link>
<description>New J.D. Power and Associates Study Shows No Difference in Quality

The newly released annual J.D. Power and Associates Automotive Initial Quality Survey shows a closing gap between foreign and domestic cars. Over the last two decades, foreign automakers have developed a reputation for producing better cars than their North American competitors - often outranking them in overall value.

But despite years of struggling to compete with their overseas competitors, this year's survey shows General Motors equal to Toyota and Honda in quality and going head-to-head with most other brands. In fact, according to J.D. Power, the only category imports still have a lead over the domestic manufacturers is in Crossovers; but that may soon come to an end as well, as Chevrolet, Ford, Lincoln and Cadillac all roll out new and redesigned Crossovers in the coming months.

<title>Get Exotic Extras With Your New Car</title>
      <link>http://www.metacafe.com/watch/397020/get_exotic_extras_with_your_new_car/</link>
<description>How Premium Perks Can Fulfill a Driver's Dreams
Automakers often claim that their vehicles can do more than just get you from point A to point B. Drivers often wish they can push the speedometer on that shiny new sports car over a hundred, but few of them ever get the opportunity until now. Some automakers are now helping fulfill those dreams by offering up exotic extras with their new purchase.

If any SUV was built for off-roading, Hummer is it. If you have a new Hummer make a reservation at the Hummer Academy in South Bend, Indiana. There you can test your rock crawling skills with varying degrees of difficulty.

The Swedish automaker Saab goes a bit further with what they call the ice Experience. Customers are taken up to the very north of Sweden, 200 miles north of the artic circle. There they actually go to a hotel built out of ice, have winter driving on ice, go on helicopter rides up to the highest mountains in Sweden, and have dogsled rides after the Swedish huskies.

If speed is your need, then take your new V-series Cadillac and head for Road Atlanta. There you can put your new car through one of the most beautiful road race courses in the world.
