U.S. troops in Afghanistan remembered those killed in the Sept. 11 attacks during a ceremony Thursday at an American base in Kabul, where a top U.S. general said terrorism still remains a threat to the world.

As U.S. troops in Afghanistan marked the anniversary of 9/11, another soldier was killed in the eastern part of the country. 2008 has been the deadliest year for Americans in Afghanistan since the U.S. Invasion in 2001.
