<title>President Obama Throws First Pitch at All-Star Game</title>
      <link>http://www.metacafe.com/watch/3060778/president_obama_throws_first_pitch_at_all_star_game/</link>
<description>You've never seen the head man in charge get down like this.(Tuesday, July 14, 2009) President Barack Obama, sporting a White Sox jacket, becomes just the fourth U.S. President to throw out the first pitch at the MLB All-Star Game and the seventh president to attend the event. John F. Kennedy (1962), Richard Nixon (1970), and Gerald Ford (1976) also threw out the first pitch at the Midsummer Classic. Obama didn't accept an invite from the Reds to throw out the first pitch at Saturday's Civil Rights Game in Cincinnati against the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox also were said to have invited Obama before their opener against Kansas City on April 6, and Nationals ex manager Manny Acta had hoped Obama would throw out the first pitch prior to Washington's home opener against Philadelphia on April 13. As a U.S. Senator, he threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the White Sox defeated the Anaheim Angels 2-1 in Game 2 of the 2005 AL Championship Series. <description>Oppana - www.neelaearth.com
The video clip for the month has the ceremonial dance Oppana, which is performed as part of the wedding celebrations among the Muslims of Malabar region in Kerala. During Oppana, the bride clad in her wedding attire will get surrounded by maidens and young female relatives, who will start clapping their hands followed by singing and dancing. The songs of Oppana are first sung by the leader and are repeated by the chorus. The themes are often teasing comments and innuendoes about the bride's anticipated nuptial bliss Ranked 3.19 / 5 | 808 views | 0 comments

      <title>Pete FourWinds - Native American Hoop Dancer</title>
      <link>http://xml.truveo.com/rd?i=531240968&amp;a=rss&amp;p=5&amp;h=4b02d07b462d550:4ca445238ff6e1521683cde76d6b0d81</link>
<description>The Native American Hoop Dance is an ancient and sacred ceremonial dance that was largely forgotten until it was reborn in the 1920&amp;#039;s as the contemporary and very flashy hoop dance we know today. The individual hoops can represent as many things as there are hoop dancers to share this dance. My hoops are colored black, red, yellow, and white in four equal quarters. The colors in my hoops represent the individuality and diversity of the four major races of people on earth, but they are all together on each hop to represent that despite our differences, we are all the same.&amp;#32;&amp;#32;Like the colors and meanings of each hoop, the dance itself tells as many stories and has as many meanings as there are hoop dancers. My presentation of the hoop dance tells the story of all life, from the lowest single cell organism to the world as a whole. Opening your heart and mind will allow you to see many aspects of life within the hoops, from birds, to horses, to flowers. What you see is dictated and limited only by your imagination, and there are no wrong answers in what shapes might present themselves to you. This is my performance of the hoop dance at the Wollomonuppoag Indian Council&amp;#039;s 34th Annual Powwow at La Salette Shrine Fairgrounds, Attleboro MA, on June 7, 2008. This was a 97 degree day with zero breeze, so THANK YOU UNDER ARMOUR!!!</description>

      <description>Australia's got talent 2008
talent audition show 3

These non-english islanders, from Arnhem Land, chooky dancers, have travelled to perform for the judges in Melbourne Australia.
Dancing a modernised Yolngu version of the classic dance from Zorba the Greek.

The Chooky Dancers, from Elcho Island are a group of barefooted Aboriginal men wearing skirts and tradidional ceremonial white body paint.
In the past, this dance has only ever been performed in Arnhemland, a vast Aboriginal owned region of northern Australia.

Bored with perofrming on their small island at indigenous dance festivals, they decided to improve and modernize their act. Someone happened to film them and post it on youtube, very quickly it became a hit with almost a million views.
Fame then sky-rocketed further after starring on Seven Network's Australia's got Talent.

Invitations are now flooding in from around the world. A possible first destination is Greece, not to mention many more, they are becoming quite popular and famous, even making headlines in European newspapers.

This Yolngu style Zorba goes indigenous act made it through to semi-finals, watch Australia's got Talent, Tuesday evenings, 7:30 on Seven.
