Bethany Yarrow's music video of a classic folk song with an electropop dance twist: Rock Island. The video uses archival footage from the Library of Congress to tell an american story. From Bethany's 2003 solo record, Rock Island.

This was written for an MLK birthday celebration some years ago. Now, with the election of President Barack Obama, we can look to the future with a renewed sense of hope for our country and the world. The video comes from a benefit concert for the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism. Other performers included Debbie Friedman, Doug Cotler, and Peter Yarrow with his daughter Bethany. Special thanks to Scott Lavender and his band, including the incredible Troy Dexter on lead guitar.
